Keyword research is very important. It can make or break a campaign. All of your web pages should have targeted keywords, but which ones? How do you research and choose the right keyword for your project?
It is very hard to have a successful search engine optimization campaign without proper keyword research. Your main objective, when selecting a keyword is to get your website to show in the search results for key phrases that will benefit your project or business.
There are specific keyword research tools online that help internet marketers find the right keywords for their campaigns. There are free and paid tools available.
Below is a short list of the ones I recommend (free and paid).

Micro Niche Finder
I personally use Market Samurai for all of my keyword research. It is a reasonably priced product and most importantly, it is a very powerful tool for researching keywords. I highly recommend it.
A free alternative would be Google keyword tool. It features a high quality, clean and frequently updated keyword database. It’s nowhere near as powerful as Market Samurai but if your on a budget it will work.
Wordtracker is also a good alternative but it is limited to 100 results. If you want to see all the keywords, you will have to pay.
Because it’s free, I will use Google keyword tool for this article.
Basic keyword research is fairly simple.
First, you will have to enter a keyword or phrase that best describes your project or web site. For this example, I will use the phrase “Real Estate”.
As you can see, globally, over 30 million searches are made for the phrase “Real Estate” every month. Ranking on the first page of Google for this phrase would be very profitable but to do so will take an extensive amount of money and time.
If you sort the results by global monthly searches, you’ll see that the phrase “real estate in new jersey” has only 246,000 monthly searches. It has significantly less searches than the phrase “real estate” but, selecting a longer tailed keyword like this will be more targeted to your business (if you have a real estate business in New Jersey).
This keyword will take less time and cost less to optimize for because there is less search volume and less competition. You can use even longer tailed keywords like “buy real estate in new jersey” or “new jersey real estate for sale”.
Remember, just because the keyword has less search volume doesn’t mean it will be less profitable.

5 Steps to Increase your Google Page Rank
Google Page rank is based on back links. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another website. The more back links you have the higher your PR will be.
1. Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. But another important note to look on is making sure the forum is somewhat related to your website. You will still get credit if it’s not, but if it’s related to your website than you will be accomplishing two tasks at once.

Important note: When looking for link partners don’t just link with websites that have a page rank of 4 or higher. Link with anyone and everyone you get a chance to. If you link to someone that has a page rank of zero, this will not hurt your page rank. It will only increase it because you are getting a link back to your website. Google doesn’t look at your back links page ranks to determine what yours is going to be. It simply looks at how many back links you have.
So if Google one day decided to link to a website that was just created and this website has a page rank of 0 and has a domain that goes something like this: mywebsite.geocities.com it’s page rank wouldn’t increase even though Google’s page rank is 10, it’s rank would still be zero because it would only have that one back link.

5 Steps to Increase your Google Page Rank

10 Effective SEO Tips july 2011
Writing SEO articles is one of my favourite all the time. My previous SEO articles like Common Errors and Mistakes that Hurt your SEO and Trashing Your Website, How To Optimize Your WordPress Blog For Search Engines and Dos and Donts of Search Engine Optimization are gave me good Google SERP positions as well as fair traffic I always looking for.
This blog was launched in 15th of Jan, 2011 and my present Alexa ranking is 2,038,997 (30.01.2011) and it dropped from 18,574,831 on 18.01.2011.
Thanks to the articles on my blog. I used to blog in node.technohub.in and always wanted to move my blog to own domain and waiting for right time for it. Well enough off topic matter and lets talks about why we are here.
SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a very common term like “Blogging” is used now a days. Few years back SEO was unknown to 60% of people who use internet and by that time only some SEO proffessional companies used to optimize website. But now the things are changed, if you are a blog or website owner you can optimize your website and it will make lot of difference.

Keywords: Keywords are very important factor in SEO. Collect some of the greatest and most accurate keywords from your blog and write it down or put it to notepad. Always use those keywords in your every new posts at least once. If you have Google Webmaster account (If you don’t have, get one right away), try to fetch your most common keywords tracked by Google and note down. Use those in your next post. This habit makes your site always available in SERP.
Social Media Bookmarking: or SMO is another way to get your website popular as well as search engine ranking. Submitting your blogs to Social media gives you free traffic and from word of mouth your sites popularity also goes high.
